Golden Minerals starts 1,250-meter drill program at Desierto project in Argentina
AUMN•Golden Minerals began a 1,250-meter drilling program at its Desierto property in Argentina, with a $1.088 million budget and results expected in Q1 2027.
1. Drilling targets
The program will target gold and copper at the Sico, Cobre and Iceberg areas, testing extensions of known mineralization. Drilling is expected to take four to six weeks and finish in Q4 2026.
2. Project details
Desierto covers 2,505 hectares in Salta Province, about 3.5 kilometers from First Quantum’s Taca Taca copper-molybdenum deposit.
