Goldman Sachs raised its December 2026 Brent crude oil price forecast to $105 a barrel from $90 and its West Texas Intermediate forecast to $94 from $81. It also raised its average 2027 forecasts to $88 for Brent from $80 and $78 for WTI from $73.
The bank said its 2027 base case now includes an allowance for a 1 million barrel per day global supply disruption, citing conflicts in the Middle East and Russia-Ukraine and broader geopolitical fragmentation. It said Brent could reach $140 a barrel and average around $130 in 2027 if Gulf output averages 3.5 million barrels per day below its 2025 average, while prices might fall into the $60s if output averages 2.5 million barrels per day above 2025 levels.
