Goldman Sachs private credit fund sees withdrawals fall to 2% in third quarter
GS•Investors sought to redeem 2% of shares in Goldman Sachs’ $18.2 billion private credit fund in the third quarter, down from 3.2% in the prior quarter.
1. Redemption requests ease
Goldman Sachs’ $18.2 billion GS Credit fund said investor requests to withdraw money slowed in its third-quarter tender offer. Repurchase requests have remained below the customary 5% limit since the fund’s inception.
2. Industry comparison
Withdrawal requests at the largest non-traded private credit funds have ranged from 10% to more than 16% of shares in third-quarter offers disclosed so far. Goldman said redemption pressure at major funds is showing signs of easing as asset managers clear withdrawal backlogs and investor sentiment rebounds from recent turbulence.
3. Inflows and returns
GS Credit said it generated roughly $400 million in gross inflows during the quarter. Its Class I shares delivered a roughly 9.4% total return since inception through August 31, 2026. The fund said concerns about software-related credit quality had begun to moderate.
