Google and Broadcom Forge Five-Year AI Chip Supply Deal Through 2031
Google and Broadcom have agreed to a five-year deal through 2031 for Broadcom to design and supply Google’s custom Tensor Processing Units to bolster cloud infrastructure. Broadcom will also grant Anthropic access to about 3.5 GW of Google-powered AI compute capacity from 2027, supporting revenue above $30 billion.
1. Five-Year AI Chip Partnership
Under a five-year agreement through 2031, Broadcom will design and supply Google’s custom Tensor Processing Units and related data centre components, enabling Google to reduce dependence on external vendors and optimize its cloud infrastructure economics.
2. Anthropic Compute Capacity Agreement
Broadcom will also provide Anthropic with access to approximately 3.5 GW of AI compute capacity powered by Google processors from 2027, supporting Anthropic’s annualized revenue growth beyond $30 billion.
