Google launches Gemini 4 Carbon AI model with cybersecurity focus
Google unveiled Gemini 4 Carbon, a frontier AI model focused on cybersecurity and complex coding tasks. The company said it generates secure code at more than twice Gemini 4 Argon’s success rate on internal benchmarks and will charge $2 per million input tokens and $10 per million output tokens.
1. Cybersecurity focus
Google unveiled Gemini 4 Carbon, its latest frontier AI model, as competition with OpenAI and Anthropic intensifies. The company said the model delivers state-of-the-art performance in vulnerability discovery, exploitation and software patching.
2. Access and pricing
Carbon is designed for complex, long-running engineering and coding tasks. Google is initially making it available to a subset of cybersecurity defenders through its Fairwind Program while it continues testing safeguards. Pricing matches Gemini 4 Argon’s introductory rates: $2 per million input tokens and $10 per million output tokens.
