Alphabet’s Google Cloud has secured a landmark five-year agreement with Liberty Global to roll out its Gemini AI models and complementary cloud services across Liberty’s European footprint, which supports approximately 80 million fixed and mobile connections. Under the deal, Google’s AI will power enhanced search and discovery features on Liberty’s Horizon TV platform, automate customer-service workflows, and deliver real-time analytics for network optimization. In addition, Liberty’s regional operating units—Virgin Media O2 in the U.K., Telenet in Belgium, VodafoneZiggo in the Netherlands and Sunrise in Switzerland—will distribute Google hardware including Pixel smartphones, Wear OS watches and Nest smart-home devices, integrating these products into bundled consumer offerings and enterprise channels.

This multi-year partnership underscores Alphabet’s accelerating cloud business, which has maintained high-teens percentage revenue growth in the past four quarters and holds a services backlog exceeding $150 billion. Bank of America Securities recently affirmed its fourth-quarter 2025 revenue estimate for Google Cloud, reflecting steady demand for AI-driven workloads. The deal also dovetails with Alphabet’s broader strategy to expand its Blackwell-based AI infrastructure through a deepened collaboration with Nvidia, offering next-generation GPUs and turnkey rack-scale systems designed for compute-intensive applications. Investors will be watching for any commentary on anticipated cost efficiencies and profit leverage as Google Cloud integrates these large-scale AI deployments into its enterprise platform.
