Google DeepMind Joins South Korea’s K-Moonshot, Plans AI Campus and Internships
DeepMind has joined South Korea’s K-Moonshot program to apply AI in life sciences, meteorology and climate research through AI model, tool and dataset exchanges. As part of the pact, Google will establish a Korean AI campus, offer DeepMind internships to Korean researchers and co-develop AI safety measures.

The agreement spans life sciences, meteorology and climate research, with both sides committing to exchange AI models, tools and scientific datasets to address complex scientific challenges.
3. Campus and Internship Plans
Google will establish a dedicated AI campus in South Korea to strengthen partnerships with local universities and startups, while offering DeepMind internships to Korean researchers.
4. AI Safety Cooperation
DeepMind will collaborate with Korea’s AI Safety Institute to co-develop and implement AI safety measures, ensuring responsible development and deployment of advanced AI systems.
