Grayscale Chainlink Trust adds Anchorage Digital as additional custodian for LINK holdings
GLNK•Grayscale Chainlink Trust added Anchorage Digital Bank as a custodian for part of its LINK holdings under an amended agreement dated Sept. 29, 2026. The agreement requires at least $100 million in specified insurance coverage, subject to limitations; the amount of LINK to be held by Anchorage has not been set.
1. Custody agreement amended
Grayscale Chainlink Trust added Anchorage Digital Bank as an additional custodian under an amended master custody agreement dated Sept. 29, 2026. Anchorage will custody and safeguard a portion of the trust’s LINK holdings, while Coinbase Custody remains the primary custodian. The sponsor has not set the amount to be moved and will decide the allocation at its discretion.
2. Safeguards and coverage
Anchorage holds private keys in U.S.-based hardware security modules and can suspend service during a fork. The agreement requires insurance coverage, including commercial crime or fidelity bond limits of at least $100 million, subject to coverage limitations.
