The move removes the typical $4.95 retail service fee for cash deposits at participating locations.

Green Dot partnered with Varo Bank to power fee-free in-store cash deposits for Varo customers at more than 2,000 Kroger Family stores.
The service uses Green Dot’s embedded finance platform, including a barcode generated in the Varo app for cashier scanning at checkout.
