Greenbrier's CEO Lorie Tekorius will speak at the Midwest Association of Rail Shippers 2026 Winter Meeting on January 14 at 10:30 a.m. CT. Her presentation will cover railcar manufacturing, supply chain trends and the company's policy advocacy to boost North American freight rail services.

1. Analysts Revise GBX Forecasts Ahead of Q1 2025 Earnings Release

Several of the most accurate rail equipment analysts have updated their earnings estimates for The Greenbrier Companies (GBX) in the days leading up to the company’s first quarter 2025 results, scheduled for release after the market close on January 8, 2025. Analysts at Stephens Inc. increased their adjusted EPS forecast by 5 cents to $1.12, citing improved order visibility across North American railcar contracts. At Seaport Global, the revenue estimate was raised by $15 million to $1.05 billion, driven by stronger-than-expected aftermarket services and a backlog increase to 33,500 units, up 8% sequentially. These upward revisions reflect Greenbrier’s expanded lease fleet of approximately 17,000 railcars and a recent uptick in demand for tank and intermodal cars, which together account for nearly 60% of new railcar orders booked in late 2024.

2. CEO Lorie Tekorius to Speak at MARS 2026 Winter Meeting

Lorie Tekorius, President and CEO of Greenbrier, will present at the Midwest Association of Rail Shippers (MARS) 2026 Winter Meeting on January 14 at 10:30 a.m. Central Time. In her keynote, Tekorius plans to discuss North American railcar manufacturing trends, supply chain resilience following global component shortages, and customer-driven innovation in car design. Greenbrier’s participation underscores its leadership in regulatory advocacy and infrastructure investment: the company recently completed a $75 million expansion of its wheel services facilities and reported a 12% increase in parts and retrofit revenues in fiscal 2025. Tekorius will join leaders from freight railroads and shippers to explore collaborative solutions aimed at reducing transit times and enhancing fuel efficiency across the rail network.
