Greenland Mines Defines 2026 Drilling and Testing Plan at Skaergaard Workshop
GRML•Greenland Mines completed a three-day planning workshop for its Skaergaard project in southeast Greenland, engaging 15 international experts to refine 2026 drilling, sampling and environmental programs. The sessions produced an integrated field campaign plan, a metallurgical testing strategy, geotechnical and environmental framework and roadmap toward an Initial Assessment.
1. Workshop Overview
Greenland Mines completed a three-day workshop June 22–24 for its Skaergaard Precious and Critical Metals Project in southeast Greenland, bringing together over 15 experts from GTK Mintec, Geological Survey of Finland, SLR Consulting and WSP Denmark to evaluate orebody characterization and processing pathways.
2. Technical Planning Outcomes
Sessions produced an integrated plan for the 2026 field campaign, including detailed drilling and sampling programs, a refined metallurgical testing strategy, and a geotechnical and environmental data framework to guide mine design and permitting.
3. Roadmap to Economic Assessment
The workshop established milestones toward an Initial Assessment or Preliminary Economic Assessment and formulated a long-term development roadmap targeting an exploitation license, aligning with Greenland Mines’ North Atlantic Critical Metals Corridor vision.
