Greenland Mines entered a charter with IceTugs ApS for M/V Argus to serve as the offshore logistics hub at Skaergaard in 2026, transporting drill rigs, fuel, equipment and personnel from Reykjavík to Mikis Fjord and the Sødalen airstrip.

2. Vessel Capabilities

M/V Argus features Iceclass A1 Super and Polar Code compliance, a certified helideck, and accommodation for 40–50 personnel, offering mess, office and working areas tailored for extended Arctic operations.

Deploying Argus centralizes transport, cargo handling and helicopter operations on a single platform, reducing logistical complexity, enhancing safety and maximizing productive field time for geological, environmental and technical teams.
