Greenland Mines Speeds Sarfartoq Rare Earth Development with New Drilling

The company targets completion of an updated resource estimate and preliminary economic assessment by year-end to support pilot plant permitting.

On July 8, Greenland Mines announced it will expedite development of its Sarfartoq rare earth deposit in West Greenland, increasing exploration and technical work to fast-track project milestones.
2. Expanded Exploration and Studies
The company plans an expanded infill drilling campaign this quarter alongside updated metallurgical testwork and engineering studies to refine the mineral resource model and engineering design.
3. Timeline for Assessment and Permitting
Greenland Mines aims to complete a preliminary economic assessment and submit environmental permit applications for a pilot processing plant by the end of 2026 to advance toward commercial production.
