Griffon’s Clopay launches C-Power panels on Avante, Models 904 and 906 Doors
Clopay introduced C-Power™ Click-to-Conceal™ panels on Avante and Models 904/906 doors, enabling glass to switch from clear to opaque for privacy or daylight. Framed in weather-resistant aluminum with concealed wiring, they block UV rays, default to opaque when unpowered and improve energy efficiency, security and design flexibility.
1. Product Launch
Clopay has rolled out C-Power™ Click-to-Conceal™ panels on its aluminum and glass Avante and Avante Sleek residential doors as well as commercial Models 904 and 906, enabling users to switch the glass from clear to opaque on demand.
2. Technology Details
The C-Power system delivers continuous power through concealed wiring within the 2-1/8" thick aluminum frame, allowing wireless control of panel transparency and defaulting to opaque when power is off for enhanced security.
3. Application and Benefits
In residential settings, the panels enable garages to serve as daylight-filled living spaces or private retreats, while commercial venues such as showrooms, retailers and hospitality sites can showcase or conceal interiors, reduce artificial lighting use and block UV rays.
4. Market Impact
By integrating switchable glass technology, Griffon’s Clopay unit strengthens its premium product lineup, differentiates its offerings for architects and dealers, and positions the company to capture growth in high-end residential and commercial design markets.
