Grindr slides after $250 million PurposeMed deal
GRND•Grindr agreed to acquire PurposeMed, parent of telehealth HIV-prevention provider Freddie, for $250 million as its shares fell 8.8% to $14.07, their lowest since June.
1. Deal terms
The deal comprises $190 million in cash and $60 million in stock, with up to $70 million in additional cash tied to 2027 targets. Grindr said the acquisition aims to help millions of users with HIV prevention; it is expected to close in Q4 2026.
