Grocery Outlet Launches 16th Hunger Campaign with Feeding America Livestream
GO•Grocery Outlet’s 16th annual Independence from Hunger drive runs June 24 through July 31, collecting in-store and online donations with new Feeding America partnership to split funds among four regional food banks. The campaign includes a first-ever four-day national livestream featuring donation challenges, store spotlights and Independent Operator stories.
1. Campaign Overview
Grocery Outlet’s 16th annual Independence from Hunger campaign runs June 24 through July 31, inviting customers to donate in-store, online or via pre-made food bags at over 540 independently operated stores. Donors giving $5 or more receive a $5 coupon toward a future purchase of $25 or more.
2. Partnership Expansion
The new Feeding America collaboration directs all online contributions equally to Alameda County, L.A. Regional, Oregon and Central Pennsylvania food banks, while in-store donations continue benefiting each store’s local food agency partner. This marks the first national scale-up of online giving for the campaign.
3. Livestream Event
A first-of-its-kind, four-day national livestream will engage viewers with real-time donation challenges, giveaways, local store spotlights and personal stories from Independent Operators to drive awareness and support for hunger relief.
