Gulf oil flows rise to average 81% of pre-war rate in September, data shows
USO•Gulf oil flows excluding Iran averaged 19.2 million barrels per day in September, more than 81% of the pre-war average of 23.6 million bpd. Saudi shipments rose by about 4.2 million bpd to 6.6 million bpd, while Iranian exports fell to zero.
1. Flows recover in September
Gulf flows of crude, condensate and refined fuels, including LPG, from Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Qatar, Oman, Bahrain, Iraq and the UAE averaged 19.2 million barrels per day in September, Vortexa data showed. Kpler data put total September oil exports at 18.6 million bpd.
2. Crude leads the rebound
Crude and condensate flows recovered to 91% of pre-war levels, while refined fuel exports, including LPG, were at 60%. Kpler data showed Saudi crude and condensate shipments rose by about 4.2 million bpd from August to 6.6 million bpd; Iranian exports fell to zero, and Kuwait and Qatar exports declined. Higher shipments from Saudi Arabia, the UAE and Iraq lifted regional exports despite those declines.
