The location leverages highways and rail infrastructure to optimize freight flows and supports a multilingual team across Switzerland’s four national languages.

The facility integrates a multi-shuttle system with 14,000 tote positions and an automated pallet shuttle handling 600 pallet locations. Across 60 packing stations and mobile racking up to 15 meters high, the site delivers enhanced productivity, safety and order processing efficiency.

3. Sustainability and Certifications

Covering 20,000 square meters with 55,000 square meters of floor space, the site holds LEED Platinum and ISO 14001 certifications. Solar panels spanning the roof generate 800,000 kWh annually, while energy and waste monitoring systems underpin a robust ESG framework.

The rail link to Swiss Post’s Härkingen sorting center enables swift two-hour transfers, improving supply chain resilience. This expansion reinforces GXO’s growth in Continental Europe, positioning the company as a technology-driven logistics partner for leading global brands.
