GXO to Operate BMW’s 425,000 sqm Swindon Parts Warehouse
GXO Logistics has been selected by BMW Group to manage warehouse operations at its 425,000 square metre Swindon plant, employing over 500 staff to produce pressed body components for MINI and BMW models. GXO will implement logistics solutions, technology upgrades and process optimisation to enhance supply chain efficiency and resilience.

GXO has been chosen by BMW Group to oversee car parts warehouse operations at the Swindon site. Under this agreement, GXO will lead inventory management for pressed components destined for MINI vehicles assembled in Oxford and other BMW facilities.
2. Swindon Plant Operations
The Swindon facility spans 425,000 square metres and employs over 500 colleagues to produce body components such as doors, bonnets, tailgates and fenders for MINI Cooper models and other BMW variants. GXO will optimise plant layout, upgrade automation and standardise processes to meet evolving production demands.

This partnership marks GXO’s entry into the industrial automotive sector in the UK, leveraging its advanced automation, data-driven logistics and continuous improvement expertise to strengthen BMW’s supply chain resilience.
