Gyre Therapeutics adds CSO Yue Xiong, Max Kirkby, Claire Weston to board effective Aug. 1

Gyre Therapeutics named Yue Xiong, Max Kirkby and Claire Weston to its board, effective Aug. 1, 2026.

• Xiong has served as chief scientific officer since May 2026 and previously served as Cullgen’s CSO and a Cullgen director before its merger with Gyre.
• Kirkby, co-owner of Huang and Kirkby Pharma Consulting, previously held senior R&D leadership roles at Bristol-Myers Squibb, Amgen and AstraZeneca.
• Weston, founder and CEO of Tactus AI, previously led Reveal Biosciences until its acquisition by CellCarta, where she later served as a board observer.
• Kirkby will join the compensation committee and Weston will join the audit committee.

Gyre said the appointments expand the board’s clinical, scientific and cross-border operating expertise.
