HA Sustainable Infrastructure slips after UBS downgrades stock
HASI•UBS cuts rating and price target
Infrastructure investor HA Sustainable Infrastructure's HASI.N shares fell 4% to $38.19 after UBS downgraded the stock to neutral from buy and cut its price target to $44 from $51. The new target still implies a 10.4% upside to the last close.
UBS cited valuation concerns, driven by HASI's strong year-to-date stock outperformance, limited near-term earnings catalysts and rising interest rates.
"After outperforming the median clean energy stock by 45% 2026 YTD, we find more attractive opportunities in other names under our coverage" - UBS analyst Jon Windham
Brokerage sentiment remains positive
Thirteen of 16 brokerages rate the stock buy or higher and three rate it hold; the median price target is $49, according to data compiled by LSEG.
As of the last close, HASI stock was up 26.8% year to date.
