Hadjar riles Leclerc by saying Verstappen would be faster in a Ferrari

RACE•Isack Hadjar said Max Verstappen would have won the Singapore Grand Prix by a greater margin in a Ferrari, which he believed was the fastest car there. Charles Leclerc, who finished second and 7.3 seconds behind Verstappen, called the claim “nonsense.”
Hadjar suggested Ferrari had the fastest car in Singapore and that Verstappen would have won by a greater margin if he had been driving for the Italian team. Leclerc dismissed the claim at the US Grand Prix, saying Hadjar had no idea what car Ferrari drove.
Hadjar said Red Bull remained difficult to drive, although Verstappen had won the previous two races. Oscar Piastri said Ferrari was often quickest or joint-quickest through corners this season but lost time on the straights; he said Red Bull had become the most consistently quick car in recent weeks.
