Haleon publishes Q3 2026 trading update Q&A transcript
HLN•Haleon’s Q3 trading update cited weak North American cold-and-flu demand and a China Centrum classification issue as drags on quarterly growth. Management maintained its medium-term sales growth target of 4%–6% and profit outlook, forecast stronger growth in 2027 and announced a share buyback.
1. Growth pressures
Haleon’s October 29 trading update call featured CEO Brian McNamara, CFO Dawn Allen and investor relations head Jo Russell. Management said weak North American cold-and-flu demand cost 40–50 basis points of growth, while China’s Centrum classification issue cost around 50 basis points.
2. Outlook and capital
Management expects the China disruption to persist through 2027. Brazil’s distribution changes will weigh on Q4 before supporting faster growth next year. Haleon maintained its medium-term sales growth target of 4%–6% and its profit outlook, while forecasting stronger growth in 2027. The company announced a share buyback and retained capacity for bolt-on acquisitions rather than pursuing a transformational deal.
