Hallador Energy signs six-year power supply deal worth $700 million with MISO Zone 6 utility
HNRG•Hallador Energy signed six-year capacity and energy agreements with an investment-grade MISO Zone 6 utility for Merom deliveries beginning June 1, 2029. The deals cover an average 225 MW of capacity valued at about $271 million and an average 200 MW of energy estimated to generate about $422 million based on current forward prices.

The capacity agreement runs through May 31, 2035, and covers an annual average of 225 MW, with about $271 million in capacity revenue over the term. The unit-contingent energy contract averages 200 MW and is estimated to generate about $422 million over the term, based on current forward prices.
2. Sales and project updates
Hallador's segment-level forward sales book increased to $3 billion, and about 95% of Merom's accredited capacity is contracted through 2035. The company continues work on its 460-MW Turtle Creek natural gas project and submitted an air permit application on Sept. 25.
