Hallador executes $700 million sale, record price lifts forward sales to $3 billion
HNRG•Hallador Energy said it executed a $700 million sale priced above $80 per megawatt-hour, lifting forward sales to $3 billion. A utility will purchase 225 megawatts of accredited capacity, generating $271 million in capacity revenue over the contract term.
1. Sale and capacity deal
Hallador said the sale was priced at more than $80 per megawatt-hour. The company said contracted capacity and energy revenue will rise to $73 per megawatt-hour by 2030 and $75 per megawatt-hour for 2031 through 2035.
