Halliburton Wins Services Contract for Greenland Energy’s $70M Arctic Exploration Program
HAL•Halliburton secured an integrated consulting, logistics and well-drilling services agreement with Greenland Energy Company for its 2026 East Greenland Jameson Land Basin exploration, supporting two planned 3,500-meter wells targeted in October. The contract follows Greenland Energy’s $70 million NASDAQ capital raise to fund equipment mobilization and field operations.
1. Agreement Overview
Halliburton has entered into a services agreement with Greenland Energy Company to deliver integrated consulting, logistics, and well-drilling services for its planned 2026 East Greenland exploration program. This contract supports the mobilization of heavy equipment and deployment of drilling teams for two 3,500-meter exploration wells.
2. Exploration Program Support
Under this agreement Halliburton will advise on Arctic field operations, manage logistics chains and ensure technical drilling expertise during the OPW-1 and OPW-6 well campaigns scheduled to commence in October 2026. The contract complements Greenland Energy’s $70 million capital raise from its March NASDAQ listing, financing procurement and infrastructure.
3. Strategic Significance
The deal strengthens Halliburton’s presence in frontier Arctic exploration and demonstrates its capability to support remote onshore drilling under extreme conditions. Participation in the Jameson Land Basin project positions Halliburton for further contracts in a basin with estimated 13 billion barrels of prospective oil resources.
