Halozyme Names David Ramsay President of Drug Delivery to Boost Subcutaneous Platform Growth
HALO•Halozyme named David Ramsay President, Drug Delivery, effective June 30, 2026, to lead growth of its subcutaneous delivery platforms under CEO Helen Torley. Ramsay brings over 30 years of biotech financial leadership including prior CFO tenures and corporate development roles, aiming to expand strategic alliances and royalty revenues.
1. Appointment of President, Drug Delivery
Halozyme appointed David Ramsay as President, Drug Delivery, effective June 30, 2026. In this newly created role, Ramsay will report to CEO Helen Torley and assume leadership of all drug delivery technology initiatives across the enterprise.
2. Enterprise-Wide Growth Mandate
Ramsay’s responsibilities encompass setting strategic priorities, driving business development and managing alliances to accelerate commercialization of ENHANZE®, Hypercon™ and Surf Bio hyperconcentration technologies. He will aim to optimize royalty streams and forge new partnerships to expand subcutaneous delivery solutions.
3. Proven Biotech Financial Leadership
With over 30 years in biotechnology and life sciences finance, Ramsay previously served as Halozyme CFO during its transformation into a billion-dollar public company and led corporate development from 2009–2013. His track record includes guiding capital markets transactions, scaling operations and securing licensing deals with top pharma partners.
