Hancock Whitney Q2 FY26 EPS rises to $1.55; net income climbs to $127 million

Total loans climbed USD 588 million, or 10% linked-quarter annualized, to USD 24.6 billion; deposits increased USD 548 million, or 8% LQA, to USD 29.6 billion.
Management said it hired 15 net new bankers, announced the One Florida Bank acquisition, and expects to close the deal on Aug. 1.
Quarterly earnings and revenue trends
Hancock Whitney posted Q2 2026 net income of USD 127 million, or USD 1.55 a share, up from USD 47.4 million, or USD 0.57, in Q1 2026.
Net interest income (TE) rose 3% from Q1 to USD 295.2 million, while net interest margin (TE) inched up 1 basis point to 3.56%.
Noninterest income rose to USD 108.4 million from USD 7.5 million in Q1, when results included a USD 98.6 million securities portfolio restructuring loss.
