1. Production Reshoring Plan
Harley-Davidson has announced the relocation of its Revolution Max platform production—including Pan America, Sportster S and Nightster models—back to its U.S. facilities in Pennsylvania and Wisconsin. This move reinstates key operations such as machining, powertrain assembly, painting and final vehicle assembly, leveraging the company’s American manufacturing footprint.
2. Job Creation and Union Support
The reshoring initiative is projected to support dozens of additional union jobs across Harley-Davidson’s U.S. operations, reinforcing its commitment to skilled domestic labor. By strengthening its American manufacturing base, Harley-Davidson aims to foster closer collaboration with its network of over 500 domestic dealers and bolster community employment.
3. Timeline and Volume Targets
The production transition is scheduled to be completed in 2027, ahead of Model Year 2028 production. Harley-Davidson expects the York, Pennsylvania plant to manufacture over 100,000 motorcycles in 2027, aligning with its Back to the Bricks strategy and long-term manufacturing goals.
