Harley-Davidson rises after Citigroup upgrades to “buy”
HOG•Harley-Davidson shares rose 3.9% to $25.50 in premarket trading after Citigroup upgraded the stock to “buy” from “neutral” and raised its price target to $33 from $31.
1. Citigroup upgrades rating
Citigroup said early 2026 retail improvement appeared to be building and that 2027 was likely to benefit from a major product introduction, cost savings and potential earnings tailwinds from LiveWire. The firm called current levels a compelling entry point ahead of third-quarter earnings and guidance.
2. Analyst ratings and valuation
Six of 17 brokerages rate Harley-Davidson “buy” or higher, eight rate it “hold” and three rate it “sell”; the median price target is $30. The stock trades at 14.71 times expected earnings over the next 12 months, compared with an industry median of 8.41, and was up 19.8% year to date as of its last close.
