Harris Teeter Offers GLP-1 Drugs with Zepbound Savings and Nutrition Support
Harris Teeter is expanding weight management services by offering GLP-1 medications and nutrition support in over 250 pharmacies, including cost-navigation assistance, pharmacist counseling and registered dietitians. The chain now accepts Lilly’s Zepbound® KwikPen Self-Pay Savings Card for self-pay patients at all locations, potentially lowering out-of-pocket costs.
1. Expansion of GLP-1 Medication Services
Harris Teeter Pharmacies in over 250 stores now stock an expanded selection of prescription weight management drugs, including GLP-1 therapies such as Zepbound®. The rollout spans markets in North Carolina, South Carolina, Virginia, Georgia, Maryland, Delaware, Florida and the District of Columbia to streamline access to effective medications.
2. Cost Navigation and Pharmacist Counseling
Customers can leverage manufacturer savings programs, cash-pay options and pharmacist consultations on drug usage and side effect management. Registered dietitians are also available to guide treatment plans, helping patients navigate savings programs and manage potential medication side effects.
3. Integrated Nutrition and Savings Programs
The chain offers dietitian-led consultations, fresh protein- and fiber-rich foods and OptUP® FoodHealthScores to support balanced eating goals. For the first time, self-pay patients using Lilly’s Zepbound KwikPen Savings Card can access reduced out-of-pocket costs at all pharmacy locations.
