Hartford named President A. Morris “Mo” Tooker as CEO, effective March 1, 2027. Chief Executive Christopher Swift will become executive chair that day and plans to step down in the second half of 2027.

Hartford named President A. Morris “Mo” Tooker as CEO, effective March 1, 2027. Swift will shift to executive chair on that date, and plans to step down from the role in the second half of 2027.

2. Board appointment

Tooker will join Hartford’s board on Oct. 1, 2026. He joined the company in 2015 as chief underwriting officer.
