Hawaiian Electric Expects To Restore Most Oahu Customers By Tonight After Hurricane Lowell

Hawaiian Electric Industries, Inc. HE.N said it expects to restore most Oahu customers by tonight after Hurricane Lowell's damaging tropical storm-force winds and heavy rainfall.
The company said power was restored for about 13,100 customers.
It said about 7,900 customers remained without power as of 3 p.m., with the majority concentrated on the Leeward and Windward coasts.
