Hawaiian Electric Industries Q2 FY26 net income more than doubled to $123.2 million

Q2 core net income under non-GAAP measures fell to $22 million from $35 million, and diluted core EPS dropped to $0.13 from $0.20.
Hawaiian Electric said Q2 net income climbed to $138 million from $39 million, driven by a $154 million pre-tax settlement-liability remeasurement benefit.
The utility expects 2026 adjusted O&M excluding pension to significantly outpace inflation ahead of a 2027 rate rebasing.

Hawaiian Electric Industries said Q2 FY26 net income more than doubled to $123.2 million from $26 million a year earlier, with diluted EPS rising to $0.71 from $0.15.
The results include a $101 million after-tax non-cash gain tied to remeasuring the remaining Maui wildfire settlement liability to present value.
