Hawaiian Electric crews worked overnight to restore scattered outages as Hurricane Nolo moved slowly west. About 626 customers remained without power as of 7:30 a.m. in Ocean View, Hamakua, Lower Puna, Kau and North Kohala. Maui County and Oahu had no major outages, with fewer than 40 customers affected in each county. Saturated ground from recent rainfall increased the risk of falling trees and further equipment damage.
