Hawaiian Electric restored power to essentially all Oahu and Maui customers hit by Hurricane Lala, beating its target by two days.
Hawaii Island restoration remained incomplete, with about 80% of impacted customers restored as of 9 a.m.
About 13,380 customers were still without power on Hawaii Island, with outages concentrated in Puna, Kona, Kohala, Hilo, Hamakua and Kau.
Crews repaired 43 of 61 damaged transmission lines statewide as system stabilization work continued ahead of another potential storm.
