HCA Healthcare Secures No. 1 Industry Ranking on Fortune’s Most Admired List for 12th Year
HCA Healthcare secured the No. 1 industry ranking on Fortune’s 2026 World’s Most Admired Companies list for the 12th consecutive year, assessed across nine criteria including innovation and financial soundness. In 2025, its Research Institute expanded to 54 sites, enrolling 6,600 patients in over 520 active clinical studies.
1. Industry-Leading Fortune Ranking
HCA Healthcare was named the top company in its industry on Fortune’s 2026 World’s Most Admired Companies list, earning the No. 1 spot for the 12th straight year. The recognition reflects evaluations by executives, directors and analysts across nine metrics, from social responsibility to long-term investment and global competitiveness.
2. Research and Innovation Expansion
In 2025, the HCA Healthcare Research Institute grew to 54 multispecialty clinical research sites nationwide and enrolled over 6,600 patients in more than 520 active studies. Its Digital Transformation & Innovation department further invested in technology platforms designed to improve patient outcomes, strengthen care networks and boost operational efficiency.
3. Colleague Development and Leadership Training
HCA Healthcare invested over $40 million in tuition assistance for more than 11,700 colleagues last year, with 24% pursuing nursing degrees. The HCA Healthcare Leadership Institute also graduated more than 9,200 participants in 2025, contributing to a total of over 40,140 alumni trained since its inception.
