HDFC Bank releases transcript of 32nd annual general meeting

HDFC Bank published the transcript of its Aug. 5, 2026 AGM, chaired by part-time Chairman Rajiv Kumar with CEO Sashidhar Jagdishan.

• Profit after tax rose 10.9% to Rs. 74,671 crore; advances increased 12.1% to Rs. 2.94 trillion; deposits climbed 14.4% to Rs. 3.11 trillion.
• The board declared the bank’s first bonus issue at 1:1; total dividend was set at Rs. 15.5 per share, including a Rs. 2.5 special interim.
• The chairman cited merger-related pressure on the CASA ratio and net interest margins; management expects improvement over the next few quarters.
• The bank disclosed external law firm reviews following the former part-time chairman’s resignation; findings were released to exchanges on June 26, 2026.
