Headlands Research phase 3 trial finds multidose RSVpreF vaccine matches single-dose version on immunogenicity

Headlands Research highlighted a published phase 3 study in eClinicalMedicine evaluating a multidose vial version of Pfizer’s bivalent RSVpreF vaccine.

Results were already presented in the publication, not flagged for a future medical meeting.

The multidose presentation matched the licensed single-dose vial on immune response, supporting a noninferiority outcome.

Safety and tolerability were comparable, reducing risk of additional clinical work before broader use.

The study supports a lower-cost, easier-to-distribute format that could expand RSV vaccine access in lower-resource markets.
