HeartBeam joins European EXIT-CVD consortium to study at-home ECG monitoring
BEAT•HeartBeam joined the €27.6 million EXIT-CVD research consortium and will lead a study of at-home ECG monitoring for high-risk patients discharged after acute coronary syndrome. The project includes 22 studies involving more than 14,000 patients; HeartBeam’s contribution will be in-kind.
1. Consortium research
HeartBeam joined EXIT-CVD, a European research consortium led by University Medical Center Groningen and Royal Philips. It will lead HEART-CHECK, which will evaluate at-home ECG monitoring for early detection and triage of cardiac events in high-risk patients discharged following acute coronary syndrome.
2. Study scope and clearance
HeartBeam’s in-kind contribution will include devices and clinical expertise. The €27.6 million project is co-funded by the EU Innovative Health Initiative and industry partners and encompasses 22 studies involving more than 14,000 patients. HeartBeam’s system is FDA-cleared only for arrhythmia assessment; heart attack assessment remains investigational, and HEART-CHECK use will be investigational without CE marking.
