Heartflow FFRCT trial data show 44% drop in unnecessary invasive heart catheterizations
HTFL•FUSION trial results show fewer unnecessary procedures
Heartflow announced one-year results from the government-funded FUSION randomized trial, already presented at ESC Congress 2026.
Adding its non-invasive FFRCT analysis to standard CCTA reduced unnecessary invasive heart catheterization procedures versus CCTA alone.
Revascularization rates were unchanged, supporting that fewer diagnostic procedures did not reduce access to needed interventions.
Safety outcomes were comparable between pathways, strengthening the case for broader clinical adoption at a key referral decision point.
