Helios’s Faster Launches OCP-Compliant UQD, UQDB, LQC and FFC Couplings for Data Centers
Faster S.r.l., Helios Technologies’ operating unit, has introduced four OCP-compliant couplers (UQD, UQDB, LQC, FFC) for liquid cooling in high-density data centers and AI infrastructure. The launch underpins Helios’s CORE 2030 Strategy to capture growing thermal management demand.
1. New Thermal Management Portfolio
Faster has rolled out a suite of four liquid cooling coupler lines—UQD (Universal Quick Disconnect), UQDB (Universal Quick Disconnect Blind), LQC (Large Quick Connector) and FFC (Flat Face Couplings)—all compliant with Open Compute Project standards. These products address rack-level, cold plate, server blade and coolant distribution unit cooling loops in high-density data centers, AI clusters and high-performance computing environments.
2. Strategic Expansion under CORE 2030
This product launch represents a key milestone in Helios’s CORE 2030 Strategy, leveraging Faster’s 75 years of fluid handling and connection expertise to enter the high-growth data center thermal management market. The new couplers are designed to meet rising energy density, electrification and performance demands, positioning Helios for incremental revenue streams in next-generation cooling solutions.
3. Global Support and Market Engagement
Faster complements the portfolio with co-design services and robust supply chain capabilities across the United States, Brazil, China, India and Italy to ensure rapid deployment and continuity. The company will showcase the thermal management products at the TECH SHOW in Frankfurt on May 6–7, reinforcing its strategic partnerships with data center and AI infrastructure providers.
