Effective June 22, 2026, Mitchell Arends will assume the role of Chief Supply Chain Officer at The Hershey Company, succeeding Jason Reiman. Reiman, a 30-year veteran who joined as an intern, will remain through April 2027 to provide structured knowledge transfer and ensure continuity across manufacturing, procurement, logistics, and planning.
2. Arends’ Experience and Track Record
Arends brings over 25 years of end-to-end supply chain leadership from UTZ Brands and Kraft Heinz. At UTZ, he held EVP and COO roles overseeing a $1.5 billion business spanning R&D, transformation and DSD operations; at Kraft Heinz, he managed a $22 billion North America supply chain, covering manufacturing, logistics, planning and procurement.

In his new role, Arends will drive digital integration, automation and insights-driven planning across Hershey’s integrated supply chain. Key priorities include accelerating network optimization, advancing predictive planning capabilities and building talent to sustain long-term supply chain modernization.
