HXL•Hexcel expands U.S. production for HexPly M901
Hexcel added U.S. manufacturing capability for its HexPly M901 fast-curing prepreg system at its Salt Lake City facility.
The move expands domestic supply for a material developed in the U.K. and currently produced in France.
M901 targets higher-rate composite production, with cure cycles of 4-5 minutes and Tg performance up to 180°C.
The system supports autoclave or press curing, hot-in/hot-out processing, compression molding, thick sections, and up to 15 weeks out life.
