1. Hilton Unveils Apartment Collection by Hilton
Hilton today announced the launch of Apartment Collection by Hilton, a new lodging category offering fully furnished studio to four-bedroom apartments, chef-ready kitchens, separate living areas and on-site laundry. Available for booking in the first half of 2026 through Hilton.com and integrated into Hilton Honors, the brand debuts with initial U.S. properties in New York City, Washington, D.C. and Atlanta, developed in partnership with Placemakr. Building on Hilton’s existing global portfolio of approximately 10,000 apartment-style units, the company expects to add up to 3,000 units through its relationship with Placemakr and to pursue further expansion via franchise agreements in the multi-family segment over the coming years. Each property will feature 24/7 on-site team members, smart amenities and thoughtfully curated local experiences, all backed by Hilton’s brand standards and loyalty program with over 235 million members.
2. Board Authorizes $3.5 Billion Increase to Share Repurchase Program
Hilton’s Board of Directors has approved a $3.5 billion increase to the company’s existing common-stock repurchase authorization, raising the total available for future buybacks to approximately $4.6 billion. Under the expanded program, Hilton may acquire shares in the open market, through privately negotiated transactions or under SEC-compliant repurchase plans, with timing and volume driven by liquidity, cash flow and market conditions. The program remains discretionary, with no obligation to repurchase any specific dollar amount or share count, and may be suspended or terminated at management’s discretion. PJT Partners and Goldman Sachs & Co. LLC served as strategic financial advisors to Hilton and Placemakr, respectively, on the partnership that underpins the Apartment Collection launch.
