Hilton Grand Vacations opened Tradimo Kyoto Gojo, its first Kyoto resort and third Japanese property, featuring 63 one-bedroom suites and a kintsugi-inspired design near Kyoto Station. This opening expands HGV’s Japan footprint to three locations, serving over 75,000 members and partnering with local organizations for sustainable tourism.
1. Kyoto Resort Opening
Hilton Grand Vacations has launched Tradimo Kyoto Gojo, its first resort in Kyoto and third in Japan, featuring 63 one-bedroom suites with kitchens designed to reflect local culture. The ten-story property sits in Gojo, one stop from Kyoto Station, offering access to World Heritage sites and the historic Gion district.
2. Cultural Design Elements
The resort preserves the original façade and integrates kintsugi design, using Japanese cypress and bamboo from local suppliers. Interior spaces draw inspiration from kyo-machiya townhouses with a moss garden entrance, paper partitions in the lobby, and tokonoma art alcoves showcasing seasonal flowers and local craftsmanship.
3. Expansion and Community Initiatives
This opening expands HGV’s footprint to three Japanese locations, joining resorts in Okinawa and Odawara and serving over 75,000 local members. The company has partnered with the Kyoto Tourism Board and regional nonprofits to support sustainable tourism and cultural festivals such as Jidai Matsuri and Aoi Matsuri.
