Hive Digital Launches Asunción GPU Cluster, Targets 11,000 GPUs and $225M ARR
Hive Digital activated its first BUZZ AI Cloud GPU cluster in Asunción, supporting Columbia University LLM research and enabling a Tier III data center in Yguazú by 2027. The firm plans to deploy 11,000 Nvidia Blackwell GPUs through an ACM Robotics partnership targeting $225 million in HPC colocation ARR by end-2026.
1. Asunción GPU Cluster Goes Live
Hive Digital has brought its first BUZZ AI Cloud GPU compute cluster online at a Tier III data center in Asunción, powering live LLM pre-training workloads for a Columbia University research team. This marks the initial phase of layering AI and HPC infrastructure onto HIVE’s existing 300 MW renewable energy footprint in Paraguay and will generate performance data to guide future expansions.
2. ACM Robotics Partnership and Growth Targets
The company has entered a strategic partnership with ACM Robotics to accelerate deployment of Nvidia Blackwell B200 GPUs for AI-enabled edge and industrial robotics applications. Management aims to grow cloud and HPC colocation annual recurring revenue from $20 million today to $225 million by end-2026, reducing reliance on digital asset mining.
3. Paraguay Strategic Advantage
Paraguay’s abundant hydroelectric generation and nationwide fiber backbone provide low-cost, reliable power and connectivity for demanding AI workloads. With 300 MW of operational renewable capacity and 100 MW under development, the nation presents a scalable platform for HIVE’s planned Tier III expansions through 2027.
