HIVE unit secures about USD 129 million loan at 9% fixed rate for AI infrastructure
HIVE•HIVE Digital Technologies’ indirect subsidiary BUZZ Alpha Cloud secured about USD 129 million in three-year financing at a fixed 9% annual rate for sovereign AI infrastructure. The loan covers about 80% of a USD 165 million NVIDIA GB200 cluster supporting Cohere’s three-year, USD 225 million contract.
1. Loan terms and project
The three-year facility will amortize principal and interest over its term, with GPUs and related assets as collateral. BUZZ HPC provided a limited recourse guarantee and pledged its equity in BUZZ Alpha Cloud. Proceeds from previously issued 0% interest convertible bonds will fund the remaining equity contribution, and GPU delivery is expected in late Q4 2026.
