Holiday schedule for major US economic and other data
SPY•The Columbus/Indigenous Peoples federal holiday on Monday, Oct. 12, will affect the release schedule for some major U.S. economic, energy and commodities reports during the week of Oct. 11.
1. Holiday shifts releases
Federal government offices, the Federal Reserve and the IMF will be closed Monday, Oct. 12, while stock and bond markets will remain open. Several releases and Treasury sales are delayed or rescheduled during the week.
2. Key reports this week
The Labor Department is scheduled to release September CPI and real earnings on Wednesday, Oct. 14, followed by weekly jobless claims and September PPI on Thursday, Oct. 15. Commerce Department September retail sales are also scheduled for Thursday, and the Federal Reserve is scheduled to release September industrial production on Friday, Oct. 16.
