CCLCCL

Holland America Line is investing over $500 million to revitalize six ships—four Vista Class and two Signature Class—with bow-to-stern renovations that add 76 staterooms on Oosterdam and introduce Solo Verandahs, Bridgeview Suites and expanded café venues. Oosterdam’s upgrades debut in fall 2027, boosting capacity and modernizing guest experiences.

1. Evolution Overview

Holland America Evolution is a bold, multiyear $500 million program to comprehensively refurbish six ships—four Vista Class vessels (Oosterdam, Zuiderdam, Westerdam, Noordam) and two Signature Class ships (Nieuw Amsterdam, Eurodam)—with expanded dining, refreshed public spaces and new stateroom categories.

2. Investment and Sustainability

Carnival Corporation’s Holland America Line is partnering with Fincantieri to execute the fleet refresh while emphasizing waste reduction, energy efficiency and sustainable materials. The $500 million budget covers structural updates, interior replacements and systems upgrades designed to lower environmental impact.

3. Oosterdam Renovations Debut

Oosterdam, the first ship in the Evolution program, will enter dry dock in fall 2027. The refit will add 76 staterooms while preserving the vessel’s intimate design, and it will roll out initial guest-centric enhancements ahead of other fleet members.

4. New Suites and Guest Experiences

Upgrades include 30 Solo Verandahs for single travelers, two 900-square-foot Bridgeview Suites with 180-degree ocean views, a 1,550-square-foot Reimagined Pinnacle Suite, 24 Vista Suites and the Grand Dutch Café, expanding capacity and diversifying onboard experiences.
